Adam Steege named AD of the year

Hancock principal and athletic director Adam Steege was recently selected as the 2011-2012 Sub Section 21 Athletic/Activities Director of the Year. This honor is voted on by fellow athletic directors. As an athletic/activities director, Steege oversees and organizes all extra-curricular functions within HHS. He oversees the events, as well as the logistics of each sports team associated with the school. As the AD, he must develop processes and procedures surrounding the athletic and non-sport programs. Adam also works to ensure these processes and procedures are met within each program as required by the Minnesota State High School League. His responsibilities include organizing, planning, scheduling and maintaining all sports and non-sport activities at Hancock High School. As the AD, he also encourages sportsmanship, team effort and improvement in the overall athletic skills of students, coaches, parents, and individuals in the community of Hancock.
