The tournament is in honor of Morris native David F. Day, who was killed in Iraq in 2005 while serving with the Morris National Guard.

The pre-tournament meeting is at 10 a.m. at the Water's Edge in Starbuck. The tournament begins at 11 a.m.

Proceeds from the tournament fund scholarships for men and women who are enrolled in law enforcement training programs and plan to pursue a career in law enforcement.

This year's scholarship recipients will be at the tournament, and tickets will be on sale.

Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third places in three fish categories: Panfish, Northern and Walleye.

The David F. Day Memorial Scholarship Fund is a non-profit organization and accepts donations of any size at any time during the year. Anyone wishing to make a donation can call (320) 589-2141.
