Lindsie Cunningham of Hancock was among the more than 1,350 students who graduated during the spring 2014 semester. Commencement ceremonies took place on Sunday, May 10. Cunningham graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. degree in elementary/K-6 education.
Rachel Moser and Tabitha Sanderson of Morris were named to the dean’s list at Augustana College for the spring 2014 semester. The dean’s list recognizes full-time students with a minimum of 12 credit hours with a GPA of 3.5 or above.
LeAnn Bjerken of Alberta has graduated from Eastern Washington University with a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Creative Writing. Graduation ceremonies were held June 15, in Cheney, Wash. Bjerken is a 2005 graduate of Chokio-Alberta High School.
Brooke Wente, Kevin Viratyosin, and Tasaneeya Viratyosin of Morris and Lauren Nelson of Hancock have been named to the 2014 spring semester dean's list at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. To qualify for the dean's list, a student must complete 12 or more letter-graded credits while attaining a 3.66 grade point average.
The following area students have been named to the University of Minnesota, Morris dean's list for the spring 2014 semester: Ingrid Andersen, Andrea Enyart, Lily Erdal, Augusta Finzel, Mitchell Finzel and Madison Gravning of Morris; Brendon Foss of Hancock; and Natalia Batchenkova of Kensington. To be eligible for the Dean's List students must achieve a grade point average of 3.66 or higher while taking 12 or more credits, two-thirds of these credits on the A-F grading system.
The following area residents graduated from the University of Minnesota, Morris this spring: Yuu Kurashima of Morris received a bachelor of arts degree in sociology, Jesse Olson of Morris received a bachelor of arts degree in social science with a minor in history, Neala Savela of Morris received a bachelor of arts degree in English, Katia Vantries of Morris received a bachelor of arts degree in sociology and liberal arts for the human services, Megan Fitzgerald of Hancock received a bachelor of arts degree in studio art and art history with a minor in music, Brendon Foss of Hancock received a bachelor of arts degree in management with an emphasis in financial and organizational management, and Matthew Swinney of Hancock received a bachelor of arts degree in English.
Minnesota State University Moorhead recognizes Maria Lynn Cin for scholarly achievement and qualifier for the spring semester dean’s list. She is the daughter of Jerry and Wanda Cin of Morris.
