Area Student Accomplishments

Madison Gravning of Morris has been accepted to and has chosen to attend the University of Minnesota, Morris. Gravning, a 2013 graduate of Morris Area High School will attend Morris beginning Fall 2013. Gravning is the recipient of an Achievement Scholarship, renewable up to four years. Achievement Scholars are selected based on their academic accomplishments at the time of application. All first-year students who submit an application to Morris are automatically considered for an Achievement Scholarship package.

Rachel Moser and Tabitha Sanderson of Morris were named to the fall 2012 dean's list at Augustana College. The dean's list recognizes full-time students who have a minimum of 12 credit hours with grade-point averages at 3.5 or above.

Rebekah Larsen of Morris and Lindsie Cunningham of Hancock were named to the St. Cloud State University dean's list for the fall 2012 semester. To be eligible for the honor, students must have a grade point average of 3.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

Lucas Adam Westerman of Chokio received his M.S. in agronomy from Iowa State University during their fall 2012 commencement ceremony.

Abbygail Olson of Chokio, Nicole Daly of Donnelly, Breanna Holleman of Hancock and Julia Sauder of Morris have received High Honors at Southwest Minnesota State University for the fall 2012 semester. To be eligible for High Honors, students must have a grade-point average between 3.8 and 4.0.

Samantha Lemmer-man of Alberta and Brady Koehl of Hancock have received Honors at Southwest Minnesota State University for the fall 2012 semester. To be eligible for Honors, students must have a grade-point average between 3.5 and 3.79.
