Area Weather: Be happy you don't live on the East Coast
We have had some unseasonably cold air across the region early in the week, but thankfully we haven't had the snowstorms that the East Coast has been dealing with over the past few weeks.
In 1996, a bolt of lightning from a snowstorm -- yes, a snowstorm -- caused an explosion at a fireworks storage site in Milaca.
Frogs, fish, and even beer cans and other debris have fallen with storms as updrafts have pulled such items into the clouds.
