Area Weather: Expect cool down Memorial Day after warm start
It looks like we will cool down after a steamy start to the weekend. This year, despite the fact that Memorial Day comes six days later, we will be about 10 degrees cooler than last year's reading of 79 degrees. We could see an isolated shower or two on Monday early for Memorial Day. There could be some rain on Sunday along with cooler temps, however.
Have a great and safe Memorial Day Weekend and keep the true meaning of "Decoration Day" in mind along with the "summer" fun!
In 1947 a late season winter storm moved through the state. Some parts of Southern Minnesota received over an inch of snow, but portions of Wisconsin received 6" of snow!
July is the month that has the most tornadoes in Minnesota, but June is second and May is third.
