It has been a week to remember across the region. Snow moved in last Friday night into Saturday and again on Monday. We also had record low temperatures Tuesday morning for many locations.
Morris dropped to 19 degrees. That beat the old record of 26 degrees set back in 1998. Northern Minnesota still had some record lows on Wednesday morning. Temperatures for most of the week were 15 to 20 degrees cooler than normal.
1952 record low temperatures were reported all across central Minnesota with lows from 10 to 15 degrees, including a low of 10 degrees at St. Cloud, 12 degrees at Glenwood, and 14 degrees at Alexandria, Litchfield, and Mora.
On average, more than 100 snow-producing storms hit the continental United States every year!
