It was 40 years ago this week that Apollo 11 landed on the moon.
I was just a small child at the time, but I do remember the images on TV. Over the years most of us have seen those images and realized what great things America has accomplished and has the capacity to do.
Neil Armstrong would utter the famous words from the face of the moon; "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." Such an event had a large impact on this meteorologist and has kept me looking up in the sky. Those individuals who were a part of the project are true American heroes. They got us all dreaming and shooting for the stars...
