Area Weather: Is rain on the way?
It really was a pretty nice Memorial Day weekend, wasn't it? Highs were in the 80s on Saturday with a few 90s showing up, as well. St. Cloud, for example, hit 90 degrees for a summery daytime high. It was fairly breezy day for those of you out on area lakes.
By Sunday, a cold front had pushed through and that brought some spotty rain to the area. Only a trace of rain was reported in St. Cloud. The high was just 73 degrees after the passage of that front. For Monday, we had plenty of sunshine for most of the state. There was some rain across Northern Minnesota on Memorial Day.
All in all, it wasn't a bad weekend. Temperatures this week will be about average for this time of the year. We could see some chances for more rain along the way.
By the way, the 30-day outlook for temperatures calls for about average temps for the month of June and near average for precipitation. Have a great rest of the week and weekend!
