Area Weather: Spring finally arrives
Spring is finally here today! The equinox will occur at 12:32 p.m. Central Daylight Time. This happens when the sun crosses the equator heading north for the year. Spring begins in the Northern Hemisphere, and of course, fall begins in the Southern Hemisphere. The sun angle has really gotten much higher over the past couple of weeks.
With the warmer temperatures, however, the snow has melted and we have increased chances for rain showers. This has all caused problems for area rivers across the state. The folks in the Fargo/Moorhead area are continuing to look for sandbaggers as the city is dealing with major flooding potential once again. I used to live in Fargo/Moorhead and my heart goes out to residents there once again. If you would like to volunteer, you may call Moorhead's call center at (218)-299-5300.
