Our rollercoaster weather has continued this week. We had some rain and some light snow on Tuesday. Our high hit 39 degrees on Tuesday, but with the passage of the frontal boundary system colder air settled in and temperatures fell along with some light snow.
Morris reported .05" of rain. By Wednesday, drier air returned to the area along with some sunshine. Highs were in the upper 30s and lower 40s across the state. Morris hit 44 degrees at the airport.
Even warmer air moved in by Thursday with highs near 50 degrees. By the way, temperatures will be mild for the firearm deer hunting season opener, as well. Best of luck and no matter what, enjoy the weather.
In 1947 a snowstorm moved through Minnesota with high winds. It caused a million dollars in damage!
If you think it has been dreary this fall around Minnesota check this out. The least sunshine is found at the South Pole as it has no sun for 182 days every year! Talk about depressing...
