Area Weather: Thaw will continue but more action due next week
Look for our January thaw to continue right into the weekend. We should see some 30s once again for the weekend. By next week, expect a little more active weather pattern with some light freezing drizzle, light rain, and light snow all possible for Tuesday night into Wednesday and Friday.
WEATHER HISTORY
In 1972 cold air invaded the state with reading of 33 degrees below zero in Alexandria and 29-below at the Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport!
WEATHER FACTS
Fog can be simply defined as a cloud touching the ground. During the winter, fog can form over cold, snow-covered ground as warmer air moves in.
