Arnold named to All-Area second team
Lincoln Arnold, a 6-2 senior forward for Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta, was named to the West Central Tribune's All-Area boys' basketball second team.
Arnold was selected the Most Valuable Player in the West Central South Conference after helping lead the Tigers to the hoop title with a perfect 16-0 record. Quick with an explosive step to the basket, Arnold shot a blistering 70 percent from the floor and finished his three-year career by shooting 65 percent. This season, he averaged 13.3 points per game as the Tigers finished 25-3 and reached the section title game. He also averaged 4.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 2.1 steals per game. He had 1,154 career points.
The All-Area team is selected by the sports editor from among the 21 area school districts after consulting with staff members, coaches and several area players in various conferences. Coaches were asked to name their top opposing players by position.
