Arrest halts burglaries. For now
The arrest of a juvenile apparently has put an end to a recent rash of burglaries, but Morris police are cautioning residents against becoming complacent.
Police responded to 10 incidents in which cars, garages and possibly a home were broken into between mid-June and mid-July, said Morris Chief of Police Jim Beauregard.
The juvenile arrested confessed to a car break-in, and since the arrest police have not received additional reports, Beauregard said.
