Balanced scoring attack leads to Tiger win at Benson

Nine players scored in Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta's West Central South Conference win over Benson 59-35 on Thursday in Benson.

"Again the story was good defense and strong rebounding, led by Tracy Meichsner and Abbie Olson each with seven," said coach Dale Henrich. "Our steal to turnover ratio was better, but we had 11 in the second half."

The Tigers had 20 steals and 16 turnovers.

"The girls worked really hard in this game and we had a balanced scoring attack."

Meichsner led the Tigers with 12 points, seven rebounds, five assists and four steals, and Katie Holzheimer scored 11 and also grabbed five boards.

Becca Holland and MaKenzie Smith both scored eight.

Emma Peterson led the Braves with 23 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and five steals.
