Sanford Bagley adds SilverSneakers
BAGLEY – Sanford Bagley Medical Center is partnering with the national Healthways SilverSneakers Fitness Program, offering older adults a way to increase their levels of physical activity while motivating them to remain active.
SilverSneakers, a national exercise program designed exclusively for older adults, is available at little or no additional cost beyond any monthly premium to eligible Medicare health plan and group retiree members.
Sanford Bagley is part of 10,000 SilverSneakers participating locations across the country. The locations offer the SilverSneakers Muscular Strength & Range of Movement class as well as additional older adult classes helping their members to stay physically healthy while being social.
“We are excited about this opportunity to provide exercise space for SilverSneakers and we look forward to this partnership in keeping our community active,” said Sanford Bagley Administrator Kirby Johnson.

Free fuel awarded to local couple
BEMIDJI – Nancy and Tom O’Sullivan have been selected to receive free fuel from Tanks of Thanks, a program that rewards people who do good deeds to help make their community a little bit better.
The Bemidji couple will receive a $50 Tanks of Thanks gift card redeemable at any Cenex location. They were nominated for volunteering at animal rescue organizations around the state and transporting animals and supplies to shelters each week.
Each month, 100 nominees are randomly selected to receive free fuel from the Tanks of Thanks program from Cenex. To make a nomination, visit TanksofThanks.com and briefly describe why someone deserves a Tank of Thanks.
