Beyer to play in Lions All-Star Series June 25 & 26
Ryan Beyer of Morris has been chosen to play in the Lions All-Star Baseball Tournament.
Son of Ed and Carol Beyer, Beyer is one of only eighty 2011 Minnesota high school graduates playing in the tournament. He joins his Northern All-Star teammates on Friday, June 24, and Saturday, June 25, for a four-team, round-robin tournament at the Chaska Athletic Park in Chaska.
Beyer just finished his senior year at Morris Area High School. Next year will find him at Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Fergus Falls.
The Minnesota All-Star Baseball Tournament, now in its 37th year, is co-sponsored by the Minnesota Lions Eye Bank and the Minnesota High School Baseball Coaches Association. Tournament proceeds benefit the Lions Children's Eye Clinic at the University of Minnesota. The University clinic sees more than five thousand children each year, many who have rare or serious vision problems that require specialized treatment. The All-Star Tournament has now raised more than $350,000 for the Children's Eye Clinic.
Join Ryan Beyer and fans from across Minnesota at this outstanding tournament. Admission is open to the public, and tickets may be purchased at the gate for $5.00 ($4.00 for students and seniors). Call (toll-free) 1-866-887-4448 or visit www.MnLionsEyeBank.org for more information.
