Blizzard blows through

The county is advising no unnecessary travel on Tuesday due to a massive storm system that has dumped more than five inches of snow on the Morris area.

As of about 8 a.m. Tuesday, Morris had received more than three inches of snow, with estimates between a foot and 18 inches by the day's end.

With the rate that the snow is falling, snow plow drivers may have trouble keeping up and some streets may not get cleared as fast.

Weather caused schools to cancel classes today in Morris, Chokio-Alberta, Hancock and several other surrounding communities.
