Appleton, Minn. - Bobby Vee and his band The Shadows were an iconic part of music history, and they are the feature on Pioneer Public Television's weekly program Postcards Sunday, May 13 at 7:00 p.m.
"We're excited to be able to bring you an exclusive look inside Rockhouse Productions in St. Joseph, Minn., where we had the opportunity to "jam out" with Bobby Vee's sons. They tell us about growing up with a music legend father and how they've incorporated music into their daily lives," said Dana Johnson, executive producer.
Travel back to the past with Postcards as we tour Bobby Vee's studio and meet some of the original members of his band, the same band that filled in for Buddy Holly when his plane tragically crashed, The Shadows. Take an exclusive peak at the tribute show called "The Night the Music Died" as we relive the magic of Buddy Holly's Winter Dance Party tour.
"We were fortunate to be able to meet with some of the members of Bobby Vee and the Shadows as they performed a tribute show and remembered the music from their past," said Johnson.
