The Library continues to be open on a limited basis until all the repairs have been completed, which may be as early as mid August. Staff is available Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The side door will be open to pick up materials, but the collection will be closed to the public while repairs are being made.
Materials can always be returned to the book drop. You may reserve items online and they will be pulled for you. Your library card is valid at other Viking Library System libraries, including: Hancock, Elbow Lake, Glenwood, Wheaton, Browns Valley, Fergus Falls and the Douglas County Library in Alexandria. In addition, the Bookmobile makes stops in Alberta, Barrett, Chokio, Cyrus, Herman, Hoffman, Kensington, and Starbuck. UMM Briggs Library has computers for use by the public as well.
There will be no Storytime in August. Storytime will resume again on Thursday mornings in September. Thank you to everyone who participated in our Summer Reading Program. A BIG thank you to our many sponsors: Alexandria Blue Anchors, Common Cup, Dairy Queen, John’s Total Entertainment, Paul LeTendre of State Farm Insurance, Meadowland Market, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Minnesota Twins, Morris Friends of the Library, Morris Community Education, Morris Theatre, Morris Veterinary Center, Pizza Hut, Pizza Ranch, Regional Fitness Center, Allen Saugstad, Town and Country Supply, Thrifty White Drug, VFW Auxiliary, and Willie’s Super Valu; and especially to Sharon Ehlers for coordinating all of the events.
