A boost for the troops
Morris Minnesota 607 Pacific Avenue 56267

Workers at Massman Automation Designs in Villard packed 60 boxes filled with 2,256 pounds of food and supplies for soldiers overseas last week. Volunteers then delivered the boxes to the Carlos Post Office for shipping. The effort started out small among Massman employees but quickly grew into a full-scale mission when other area businesses, individuals and the Blue Star Mothers joined in. Help came from 36 contributors. Thanks to their donations, the troops will receive a wide range of items - sun screen, bug spray, gum, hot chocolate mix, oatmeal, candy, salsa, ketchup, bottled water, energy bars, fruit juice, snacks, fruit cups and more. Organizers found out Monday that the supplies had already arrived in Afghanistan and were much appreciated by the soldiers.
