Boys Basketball: Hancock routs KMS for first win

HANCOCK -- In a battle between two of the area's three winless teams Friday, Hancock upended Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg 63-35 in a non-conference boys basketball game.

Both teams played to an 18-18 tie in the second half, but Hancock was already ahead 45-17 at halftime to seize control.

Four players scored in double figures for Hancock with Dylan Reese leading the charge with 12 points. Austin Steege and Bryan Shaw added 11 apiece and Jordan Miller had 10. Reese also had 11 rebounds, six assists and four steals.

Shawn Montag had 10 points for KMS, which was playing without Jonah Johnson, one of the team's top scorers, who had dental surgery earlier in the day. Hancock 63, KMS 35
