Brooten meat locker burglarized, sheriff asks for information
BROOTEN -- The Stearns County Sheriff's Office asks anyone with information that may help with the investigation of a weekend burglary in Brooten to contact them.
The owner of J & K Meats reported on Sunday that the business had been burglarized sometime after the close of business on Saturday. Someone had pried open the front door and took a cash register, with cash and checks, and a file cabinet.
Deputies later located the cash register and file cabinet along a roadway in a rural area near Brooten.
