'Buckets and Tap Shoes' to present next Performing Arts Series event at UMM
As part of the University of Minnesota, Morris Performing Arts Series, Buckets and Tap Shoes will perform on the University of Minnesota, Morris campus in Edson Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2010. The group features a collection of musicians, percussionists, and dancers that bring great energy to the stage with five-gallon buckets, metal cans, found objects, and of course, tap shoes. The group received honors at the 2004 Minnesota Fringe Festival and from Minneapolis City Pages.
Morris student Sam Krump-Johnson '11, Maple Grove, who majors in theater and media, is really excited to see the group. "I've heard really good things about them, so I know I'm going to try and get all my friends to go."
On Sunday, November 14, 2010, at 11 a.m. in HFA 125, the Humanities Fine Arts theatre and dance rehearsal room, Buckets and Tap Shoes will present a tap master class that is free and open to the public. The class is intended for all levels of tap experience. Bring your tap shoes.
