Buddies gets big win going into playoffs

On Monday, July 20, Buddies defeated KMS by the score of 10-0. This was a big win going into the playoffs as the #4 seed.
Buddies got the lead in the first inning and never looked back. With one out Justin Miller was hit by a pitch. Collin Brown singled and Brandon Shaw walked to load the bases. Brett Kellner then walked to make the score 1-0.
The second inning started out much like the first. With one out Justin Peterson was hit by a pitch and Cole Voorhees was also hit by a pitch. Bryce Schmidgall then hit a double driving in Justin. Anthony Koehl singled with Cole and Bryce both scoring on the play. Collin Brown then singled in Anthony giving Buddies a 5-0 lead after two innings.
Buddies added one more run in the third when Brett Kellner, Logan Kisgen and Will Osterman all walked to load the bases and Kayla Crowell grounded out to first with Brett scoring.
Three more runs were added in the fourth when Anthony Koehl lead off with a single and scored on a triple by Justin Miller. Collin Brown then singled to drive in Collin with the third run of the inning to make the score 9-0.
The final run of the a game came in the sixth when Collin Brown walked and got to third on wild pitches. He then scored on a ground out by Brett Kellner.
Pitching duties were handled by three pitchers. Collin Brown pitched the first three innings. He walked one, gave up 0 hits and struck out seven batters. Justin Miller pitched the next three innings. He gave up one hit and struck out five batters. Anthony Koehl pitched the last inning and walked one batter and struck out one.
