The Certified in Long-Term Care program is the long term care insurance industry’s only independent professional designation. The goal of the designation is to teach financial professionals how to create a plan that preserves the emotional, physical, and financial well-being of a client’s family should care be necessary.

As a participant in the program, Grunklee will offer guidance to families on a range of issues from home care, assisted living, nursing homes, social services and most importantly establishing a plan for what will pay for these resources.

Kaylene Opdahl, occupational therapy assistant and site coordinator at Big Stone Therapies in Morris was presented the “Therapist Assistant of the Year” award for her leadership and excellence in her role at Big Stone Therapies.

The award is one of four 2013 Employee of the Year awards given to employees within the 24 therapy clinics as part of the Big Stone Therapies company.  Employees are nominated by co-workers and the winners are selected by the company's active board members.

Opdhal received her associate's degree from North Dakota State College of Science in Whapeton. She is also a health coach for Take Shape for Life.
