Candidate Kurt Zellers makes stop in Morris
MORRIS – Republican gubernatorial candidate Kurt Zellers and his running mate, Dean Simpson, visited Morris on Wednesday, June 11 to talk with potential voters ahead of Minnesota’s primary election on Tuesday, Aug. 12.
Zellers said a priority for rural areas is bringing people for existing jobs.
“Everybody thinks it’s a tough economy, the recovery isn’t going well [but] if you talk with business owners, whether it’s down at Willie’s or out at Superior, it’s the same thing – we have jobs available, we can’t find people,” said Zellers.
Policy areas that impact rural growth are affordable, middle-class housing and transportation infrastructure, Zellers said.
