Notes from the City of Morris Tree Board
Let's meet Saturday, Nov. 9 at 9 a.m. at Green River Park to help plant 90 trees. Whether you have time to plant one or ten, you're welcome to establish a personal relationship with a public tree. If you have a couple friends bring them, if not you'll make new friends. If you have a shovel bring it along - if not come anyway. This should be work but it won't be. The holes will be pre-dug and your tree will await its future next to the hole. You can even name them if you want. Years from now you'll be able to visit them and tell stories of their youth and that exciting deer opener when you planted trees instead. Remember, trees are people too. Call 589-3141 at City Hall and ask for Jay with questions.
