Chamber of Commerce offers new Leadership Stevens County program

The Morris Area Chamber of Commerce is please to offer a newly updated leadership program to the residents of Stevens County. Leadership Stevens County 2012/2013 offers the next step in leadership programming, building upon the solid history and success of Leadership Morris.

Leadership Stevens County is a program offered annually by the Chamber of Commerce with partial funding in past years from the West Central Initiative Fund. The program combines local expertise on Stevens County resources and the communities of Alberta, Chokio, Donnelly, Hancock and Morris with national and regional leadership development speakers to provide a well-rounded community leadership experience. Leadership Stevens County is a seven-session program designed to strengthen individual leadership skills while building awareness of local resources and of current issues that face the Stevens County area.

Twenty participants will be accepted into the program. The seven sessions will from from Nov. 13, 2012 - May 14, 2013. Tuition is $225 per participant, and may be paid by the individual or their employer/organization. The deadline to register is Oct. 25. Topics will include: Discovering Your Authentic Leadership Paradigm: Tap Your Full Potential; Leadership Challenge - Five Practices of Exemplary Leaders: Dynamics of Creating a Culture of Effective Feedback; Developing Inter-Cultural Competence to Strengthen Your Organization; and Self-Mastery - Develop Your Emotional Intelligence.

The program also includes a trip to the Minnesota State Capitol for Business Day and registration for the Leadercast Webinar, which features nationally-renowned experts in leadership. Leadership Stevens County is a tremendous opportunity to develop personal leadership skills and experience personal growth while establishing a support network and sense of connectedness to the community.
