Boe attended Moorhead State University earning a B.S. in Social Work and subsequently served as the Director of Traverse County Social Services. He says he has always been surrounded by art; his father was a PhD in Art History and taught at Moorhead State University, while his sister and brother in law are both visual artists. A former guitarist and an avid arts consumer, Boe states he also "dabbles a bit with poetry" and "would like to take classes in photography". Boe is experienced both in writing and in reviewing grants. When asked why he would like to serve as a board member of Lake Region Arts Council, he says "Being on the board would allow me to make my own contribution to arts in our area."

LRAC is now accepting nominations for a board seat in Becker County. LRAC encourages nominations of candidates who are interested in being an advocate for the arts in our region. Applicants may be anyone who has an interest in the arts and a desire to support arts activities in our region.

For information about serving on the LRAC Board and to request a nomination form, please contact LRAC by phone: 218-739-5780 or by email: LRAC4@LRACgrants.org.
