MORRIS, Minn. - Gene Krosschell, Morris' City Finance Director since 1984, has announced he will be retiring at the end of July.
"There are no words I can say to try and describe the respect I have for Gene and what he means to this city," said City Manager Blaine Hill. "We're going to miss him a lot but we wish him well in his retirement that's coming up."
Krosschell came to work for the City of Morris after working in the private sector. In addition to serving as city finance director, Krosschell was also tapped to serve as interim city manager in 2007 after former city manager Ed Larson retired.
