City poised to take over Dent school

The Dent City Council will be taking over ownership of the Dent school building.

Last year was the final year for the Dent Elementary School, and the plan for Perham school officials was to turn over the facility to Dent city-which is planning to utilize it as a multi-use community center.

The transfer of the building and property was hung up due to an underground fuel tank. An above-ground tank is now in place and operational, noted buildings administrator Fred Sailer in his monthly report to the Perham-Dent School Board on Dec. 16.
