Committee to interview three finalists for interim superintendent in Morris Area

MORRIS – The Superintendent Search Committee will interview three finalists for interim superintendent of the Morris Area School District this Friday, July 18.

The three finalists are Ronald Bratlie of Detroit Lakes, Mary Donohue Stetz of Breckenridge, and Diane Moeller of St. Cloud.

Bratlie has served as interim superintendent in the Cromwell-Wright School District, the Warren-Alvarado-Oslo School District and Northland Community Schools. Bratlie is also a consultant in educational administration, business and construction through his company, ABC Educational Services.

In the past, Bratlie has also worked with the Elk River Area Schools and as superintendent in the Truman Public Schools and Audubon and Lake Park/Audubon Public Schools.

Mary Donohue Stetz was most recently employed as interim high school principal with the Morris Area School District. Previously she has served as superintendent of the Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Public Schools and Rothsay Public Schools.

Donohue Stetz also has experience as a K-12 principal, adjunct professor, English teacher and elementary school teacher.

Moeller retired as assistant superintendent of the St. Cloud School District in May 2014 after 15 years in the district. Prior to her two years as assistant superintendent, Moeller was an elementary school principal in St. Cloud.

Moeller also has experience as an assistant professor and graduate instructor. In 2013 she was named Minnesota Math/Science Principal of the Year.

Members of the search committee include Kurt Gartland, Robyn Van Eps, Dick Metzger and Doug Stahman. In addition to interviewing three finalists, they will also meet with Ray Farwell of School Administrative Specialist Services to discuss contracting with that company for an interim superintendent.

The full Morris Area School Board is scheduled to meet on Monday, July 21
