THE MORRIS MASONIC LODGE will host a pancake and sausage breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Morris American Legion. Proceeds will be used for scholarships for local high school students. s9

storytime fun with bree and jess at the Morris Public Library. Members of girl Scout Troop 74 will read, do crafts, and share snacks from 1 to 2 p.m. There is no cost; sign up at the front desk at the library. s9

The Winter Dance Club will host Velvet Brass on from 3-7 p.m. at the Lakeside Ballroom in Glenwood. Come enjoy ballroom dancing to music from the Big Band to early Rock and Roll eras. AARP DEFENSIVE DRIVING (formerly 55 Alive) four-hour refresher course will be offered at the Morris Senior Center beginning at 1:30 p.m. A minimum of 10 participants registered is required for each class. BENEFIT AND VENDOR SHOW--all proceeds to benefit Angie Staples, diagnosed with stage 4 advanced breast cancer in January. The event is to be held at First Lutheran Church in Morris, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Free will donation brunch, vendor show and a silent auction will be held.
