THE BARNES-AASTAD SOIL & WATER CONSERVATION RESEARCH ASSOCIATION will hold its annual meeting at 10 a.m. at the Soils Lab, 803 N Iowa Ave., in Morris. The featured speaker will be Matt Jenks, from Maricopa, Ariz, discussing the ARS Bio-energy Initiatives. For more information, call 320-589-3411.

THE MORRIS AREA FFA CHAPTER ANNUAL BANQUET will be held at the high school. A meal will be served at 6 p.m. with the state convention meeting at 6:30 p.m. and the program at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome. s14

BENEFIT AND VENDOR SHOW--all proceeds to benefit Angie Staples, diagnosed with stage 4 advanced breast cancer in January. The event is to be held at First Lutheran Church in Morris, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Free will donation brunch, vendor show and a silent auction will be held.
