BENEFIT AND VENDOR SHOW--all proceeds to benefit Angie Staples, diagnosed with stage 4 advanced breast cancer in January. The event is to be held at First Lutheran Church in Morris, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Free will donation brunch, vendor show and a silent auction will be held. MUSICAL CONCERT at East Zion Lutheran Church, Starbuck, at 2 p.m. Lisa Hendricks will perform contemporary and old time Gospel music and a men's quartet will sing religious songs. A free will offering will go to Ruby Tollefson Piano Scholarship Fund. Refreshments served. s14

HEALTHY EATING, TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL VEGETABLE GARDEN will be presented by Steve Poppe, horticulture scientist with the University of Minnesota West Central Research and Outreach Center in the AgCountry Aud. at the West Central Research and Outreach Center, 46352 State Hwy 29 Morris, from noon - 1 p.m. Free will offering will be accepted. s15

THE FRIENDS OF THE MORRIS WETLAND MANAGEMENT DISTRICT host a Meet and Greet for the new assistant manager of the Wetland Office, Mead Klavetter, at the Common Cup in Morris from 3 to 6 p.m. s15

KENSINGTON FIRE AND RESCUE FUNDRAISER dinner will be at the Kensington Community Center, from 4 to 7 p.m. with items raffled off after the dinner. There will be an open house at the fire hall to show the new addition. Free will donations appreciated. s15
