TUESDAY, OCTOBER 2
Pastor Anita Hill will provide a training on how to talk to friends and family about the marriage amendment. This event is designed for people who plan to vote no on the marriage amendment and who want some tips about how to talk with others one-on-one about their views. Free will donation for travel expenses, pizza and beverages, 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. in the Community Room at the Morris Public Library. s39
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 3
Join City of Morris manager Blaine Hill and community leaders for information on "Beyond the Yellow Ribbon"--the Morris plan to receive recognition as a community that supports local military service members, military families and employers, Best Northland Prairie Inn, 200 E. St. Hwy. 28, 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Morris will seek recognition this fall as a Minnesota "Yellow Ribbon Community". Admission is free. s39

The Glacial Ridge Conference WELCA will hold their Fall Gathering and Leaders Workshop at Faith Lutheran Church in Morris. Registration and morning coffee will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the meeting will begin at 9 a.m. Sonja Farmer of Marietta will be the featured speaker. Everyone is welcome. s39
