55+ DRIVER IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM OFFERED (8 hr. first time course) by the Minnesota Highway Safety Center from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Feb. 12 and 13 in the Community Room in the Otter Tail Power building in Morris. The Driver Improvement course is open to the public; pre-registration is requested. A MN Highway Safety & Research Center certified instructor teaches this class. THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY Relay For Life of Stevens County will hold a kickoff open house to launch their fundraising efforts for the year, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Ag Country in Morris with parking and entrance in the back of the building. Past teams and others who are interested in joining are invited to stop by.  The Relay For Life committee will be there to answer questions and provide materials and information. BENEFICIAL INSECTS: How to attract the good guys to your garden. Learn how to create a yard that welcomes wildlife. Whether you have a small patio garden or a large lot in the country, you can provide an inviting habitat for butterflies, bees and songbirds. Led by Dr. Margaret Kuchenreuther, associate professor of biology at UMM. Lunch begins at noon, the 1/2 hour program begins at 12:15 p.m.  at the AgCountry Auditorium at WCROC. Bring your own lunch; coffee, tea and dessert provided. Admission is free.    s6

PRESENTATION OF SNORING and obstructive sleep will be held at First Lutheran Church, 200 East First Street in Morris at 1:30 p.m. There will be a display and demonstration of the Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) devices used in treatment.    s7
