"ARGENTINA: TOURISM, CULTURE AND CROP PRODUCTION" will be presented by Dr. Julio Scursoni at 10 a.m.. The presentation will be in the conference room of the USDA-ARS (also known as the “Soils Lab”), 803 Iowa Ave., Morris. Dr. Scursoni is a professor at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. His research specialty is weed science. He is visiting the Soils Lab for one month.

FIBER ARTIST Sharon Marquardt will be at the PRCA Art Gallery in the afternoon for a demonstration. The traveling exhibit will be open from Aug. 14 to Sept. 30. This project is a collaboration between four local fiber artists, Marquardt, Karen Aakre, Katy Olson and Joan Ellison. s32
STEVENS COUNTY FARM BUREAU ANNUAL MEETING will be held at Pomme de Terre Park near Morris. Dinner is at 6 p.m. with the meeting at 7 p.m. The guest speaker will be Doug Berven, from the biorefining company, POET. s32
