Cougar men down North Central 69-57

The University of Minnesota, Morris men's basketball team picked up its second win of the season, defeating North Central University 69-57 Friday night at the P.E. Center.

The Cougars took an early lead, hitting 18 of 38 shots (47.4 percent) from the floor, and held a 38-25 lead at halftime.

Freshman Zach Meyer tallied a career-high 22 points to lead the Cougars.

Daniel Fragodt and Mitch Primus added 13 points apiece.

Kyle Bruns and Kendall Proell each chipped in with eight points.

Also scoring were Clay Fischer and Jeremy Bosch with two each, and Jamin Ivers with one.

Bosch and Fragodt were the rebound leaders with eight apiece. Primus grabbed seven, while Fischer had six boards.
