Cougar men fall to 0-2 on season

The University of Minnesota, Morris men's basketball team fell to the University of Minnesota, Crookston, 59-45 Saturday in the Cougars' home opener.

The Cougars trailed by 10 after the first half of play on 41.2 percent shooting. In the second half, the Cougars only shot at 25 percent.

Crookston averaged in the 40 percent range in both halves.

Eric Dalbey led the Cougars with 14 points and was 9-of-11 at the free-throw line.

Clay Fischer added eight points for the Cougars, hitting one three-point shot and going 5-of-6 at the line.

Kendall Proell had seven points, and led the Cougars with three assists.

Daniel Fragodt added six points, as well as three steals and five rebounds.

Mitch Primus led the Cougars with six rebounds. He had five points and two blocks.

Kyle Bruns also had five points for the Cougars.
