Cougar men score first goal of season

Ebrima Badgie opened up the scoring in the second minute to put the University of Minnesota, Morris on the board Friday in a 3-0 win over Northland. It was the Cougars' first goal of the season which was assisted by Scott DeVries.

The Cougars netted another goal in the 31st minute when Matthew Bennis found John Hastings for the goal. It gave UMM the 2-0 advantage going into the break.

Out of the halftime break Hastings picked up his second goal of the match in the 53rd minute. He was assisted by Devin Chuba and Dylan Urban.

It was the third time in Hastings' career that he has scored two goals in one match. It was Chuba's and DeVries' first points in their careers at Morris.

Ricardo Pinto got the clean sheet stopping one shot.
