Shingo Yamane and Ebrima Badgie had the goals. Momodou Jallow and Matt Vik  picked up assists.

In the 18th minute of play Jallow fed a through ball to the feet of a streaking Yamane. Yamane took one touch and beat the keeper to his right. Morris controlled possession through a majority of the first half, out shooting the Knights 9-1.

The Cougars maintained control in the second half adding 14 more shots. In the 70th minute Trent Holmes hit a free kick into the far side of the box. Vik headed the ball toward the frame and it hit a defender before falling at the feet of Badgie. Badgie volleyed the ball over the keeper and just under the crossbar to put UMM up 2-0.

Next up for the Cougars is a road trip to St. Scholastica and Northland. The Cougars sit six points shy of the Saints for the lead in the UMAC.
