Cougar men shut out Rams
The University of Minnesota, Morris shut out the North Central Rams 3-0 to rebound after a loss on Friday.
The Cougars are now 5-7 overall and 4-2 in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference.
The Cougars outshot the Rams 29-3, but the Rams’ keeper had eight saves to keep them in the match.
Morris had 15 shots in the first half without giving up a shot, but could not find the net until the 31st minute. Ebrima Badgie scored his fifth goal of the season thanks to assists from Austin Keller and William Wachutka.
Wachutka picked up another helper, assisting on Austin Keller's 59th minute goal. Badgie also had an assist on the Keller goal. It was the fourth goal in four matches for Keller.
In the 80th minute Ravi Butler scored his first goal of the season, converting a penalty.
Borash and Matt Yost combined to earn the shutout after stopping two shots.
The Cougars will now take on Crown on Thursday afternoon.
