The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference men's and women's soccer and volleyball tournaments begin today as teams jockey for spots in Saturday's tournament championships. While the College of St. Scholastica will be a busy place with three tournament events on Tuesday, the University of Minnesota, Morris, Northland College and Northwestern College will also host events.
The UMAC Men's Soccer Tournament features Minnesota-Morris, St. Scholastica, Northwestern and Crown. Northwestern and St. Scholastica will kick off the tournament at 11:30 a.m. today in Duluth, while Morris and Crown will follow with their semifinal game at 2 p.m. in Morris.
On the women's side, No. 1 St. Scholastica hosts fourth-seeded Minnesota-Morris in a 2 p.m. game today in Duluth. No. 2 Northland will call Washburn High School in Washburn, Wis. its temporary home, as the LumberJills host Northwestern in a 2 p.m. semifinal.
Moving indoors, Northwestern and St. Scholastica will host volleyball semifinal matches today at 7 p.m. Fourth-seeded Minnesota-Morris will travel to St. Paul to play Northwestern, while St. Scholastica will host Northland at the same time.
