The women picked up a 7-2 win and the men fell 6-3 in a tough contest. Dakota Frazier and Michael Maudal were both 2-0 on the day. For the women Abby Fragodt, Christina Mollan, Kayla Kraemer, and Kayla Hegna were perfect on the day.

Fragodt, Mollan and Kraemer cruised to wins in their solo matches giving the Cougars a fast 3-0 lead. Hegna battled for a three set win, winning the third set in a tiebreaker. Fragodt and Kraemer won their doubles match 8-0 and Mollan and Hegna won their doubles match 8-3 to complete the win.

Frazier won his singles match in a tiebreaker but the Cougars lost tiebreakers at number five and six, falling behind. Maudal was able to win his singles match fairly easily, winning 6-2, 6-3, but the Cougars picked up just two points during the six singles matches. Maudal and Frazier combined to win their doubles match 9-8, completing the scoring for the Cougars.

For the second straight day the tennis team split their dual match, the women won 7-2 and the men lost 6-3 to Bethany Lutheran on Saturday. Womens results | Mens results

The women won five of six singles matches and two of the three doubles matches. Fragodt, Mollan, and Kraemer stayed perfect on the weekend, winning at the top three singles spots. Natska Gindorff and Emma Zapchenck also took singles wins for the Cougars. In doubles action, both Fragodt/Kraemer and Henga/Mollan took wins 8-1 and 8-4, respectively. Gindorff/Zapchenck lost a close 9-7 match for the third doubles match.

The men got wins from Michael Maudal and Eric Vergiels in singles as well an 8-2 doubles win from Dakota Frazier and Maudal.

Next up for the Cougars is the North Central Rams in Minneapolis on Tuesday, April 15 before hosting three home matches.
