The University of Minnesota, Morris women's basketball team extended its winning streak to nine Tuesday with a 77-34 win over Crown.
The Cougars are now 11-7 and 8-0 in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference action.
UMM forced 28 turnovers which turned into 38 points.
The Cougars held Crown to just 21.3 percent from the field on 10-of-37 shooting. Morris shot 42.1 percent as the Cougars were 32-of-76. The Cougars held the advantage in points in the paint, 28-4, and second chance points, 20-4.
UMM also had an 18-9 assist to turnover ratio, led byAbby Fragodtwho had five assists. Fragodt also had seven rebounds, six points, four blocks, and two steals.
Morris opened up a 43-16 lead in the first half and followed that by outscoring the Storm 34-18 in the second half. The lead would grow to as large as 48 late in the second half.
UMM used a 27-7 run in the first half to gain control of the game and never looked back.
The Cougars will be back on the road this Friday and Saturday, traveling to take on North Central and Northwestern.
