Cougar women clinch home match for UMAC opener
The University of Minnesota, Morris women's soccer team clinched a home match in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Tournament with a 4-0 win over North Central on Friday.
RiAnne Metz stopped one shot to earn the clean sheet as four different goal scorers gave UMM the 4-0 win.
Katie Kestner broke a scoreless tie in the 40th minute thanks to an assist from Zoe Bergstrom. UMM outshot NCU 18-1 in the first half, but the Rams stayed in the match.
Three goals in a matter of five minutes gave the Cougars the 4-0 win. Meghan Laird teamed up with Justine Wolf to make it 2-0 in the 70th minute. Christina Mollan and Laird teamed up in the 72nd minute to make it 3-0 and then Kebra Roger made it 4-0 in the 75th minute
