Cougars down Crown for second time in 3 days
The University of Minnesota, Morris men’s soccer team defeated Crown College for the second time in three days with a 3-1 victory at home Saturday.
Morris started off strong with Ebrima Badgie scoring a goal in the 10th minute thanks to a crossing pass from Matt Vik.
Late in the first half the Cougars scored again, this time by Austin Keller in the 38th minute.
The Cougars out shot the Storm 12-2 in the first half.
In the second half th Storm got their first goal of the match when Truman Shelter raced down the field and scored a goal off the right post to cut the lead down to 2-1 in the 52nd minute.
Just minutes later the Cougars came back with a goal of their own from Momodou Jallow to give themselves a 3-1 lead in the 54th minute.
Morris racked up 24 shots in the 3-1 win on Saturday. Jacob Borash made two saves.
