Cougars’ Foss, Hickman named all-conference

After breaking school records this season, both Brendon Foss and Cody Hickman were named to the 2013 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference First Team. Foss was named a First Team wide receiver and Hickman was a First Team line backer. Zach Kroells was the Cougars’ representative on the All-Sportsmanship Team.
Foss finished the 2013 season with 71 catches for 837 yards and 10 touchdowns, leading the team in all three categories. He led the UMAC in receptions and yardage and was second in touchdown catches. Foss also ranked highly in the nation in receptions and touchdown catches, ranking 25th and 21st, respectively. He was 47th in receiving yards and 54th in yards per game.
Foss became the school's record holder in most touchdown catches during the season and finished his career with 32. He also finds himself second all time in receptions with 200 catches and second in yardage with 2,714.
Hickman set the school record for most tackles in a season with 140, ranking first in the UMAC and fourth in the nation. He was 31st in the nation in solo tackles, averaging 6.3 solo tackles per game. He was second on the team with three sacks, three pass break-ups and 7.5 tackles for loss. Hickman added two quarterback hurries and a forced fumble.
